Q. What is
H.O.G.?
A. The Harley Owners Group (H.O.G.) is an organization founded and sponsored by the Harley-Davidson
Motor Company. The group was established to offer motorcycling benefits and service to Harley-Davidson
enthusiasts and to develop a close relationship between the Harley-Davidson rider, the Harley-Davidson
dealers and Harley-Davidson Motor Company.
Q. How do I join?
A. First, you need to own a Harley - Davidson motorcycle. To start or extend national membership in
H.O.G., you may contact 1-800-club-hog or visit the website at www.hog.com. You will need the Vehicle
Identification Number (VIN) from your Harley in addition to your personal information and a Visa or
MasterCard.
Q. How much does it cost?
A. Currently a one-year full National H.O.G. membership for an individual is $45, two years is $85 and
three years is $120. Life membership is also available. If you’ve purchased a new unregistered Harley-
Davidson motorcycle and your name is listed first on the title, you receive a one-year full membership.
Q. How about membership for my spouse/significant
other or if I don't own a Harley?
A. Associate membership is designed by Harley-Davidson for the passenger or family member of a full
member. Non-Harley motorcycle owners wanting to join a Harley Owners Group should talk with the
General Manager of the Harley-Davidson dealership sponsoring the chapter to begin working towards
trading up to a Harley-Davidson and a full H.O.G.® membership. After all, H.O.G.® is a Harley Owners
Group. Associate family members or passengers are eligible to participate in all H.O.G. activities and
events. The cost for a one year Associate membership is currently $25, two years is $45 and three
years is $65.
Q. OK, so now I’m a National H.O.G. member, how do I join
Windward Oahu Chapter?
A. Annually, you will need to present your national H.O.G. membership card and sign a Chapter
Membership Enrollment form and Release. Currently, dues are $24 per calendar year with the Windward
Oahu Harley Owners Group.
Q. When and where do you meet?
A. Our meetings (we like to call them gatherings - HOG members indicate they go to enough meetings)
are scheduled for the third Saturday of each month usually at 8:30A.M. A couple of times a year we will
have a noon chapter gathering. We schedule our gatherings at different businesses who have donated
certificates towards our Poker Runs and other events. Check out our chapter event and ride calendar for
up to date ride and Chapter gathering information, along with additional information and other scheduled
activities. You can go back at least one year to get a good idea of how we like to ride and have fun!
Q. I just want to ride. Why should I join H.O.G. and the
Windward Oahu Harley Owners Group?
A. Because that’s exactly what H.O.G. and Windward Oahu Chapter are about: to Ride and Have Fun.
While we participate in many activities and causes at Windward Oahu Chapter; our sole purpose is to ride
and have fun, keep our rides safe, keep our rides fresh, respect our riders need to stop and rest (gets hot
in Hawaii - dehydrates the heck out of you) yet spend as much seat time on our Harley's as they do on the
mainland.
